A Great Morning!

This morning we invited students who are joining the Foundation Degree in September for breakfast and 3ds Max. The morning went very well, despite the fact that we obviously don’t have too many people with a sweet tooth!  This meant the staff were forced to eat the Danish!  This is something most of us can’t afford to do.

We are looking forward to working with those we met this morning, there is obviously going to be some great talent in this year’s cohort. We are also looking forward to meeting those who were unable to attend for a variety of reasons.  Good luck to those who sat Math A level today – we have our fingers crossed for you.

Taster Sessions on demand!

Today we welcomed Milton Abbey School to our CGI taster session.  The morning was taken up by an introduction to 3ds Max and the students created objects and animated them.  Then they took a beach scene, textured parts of their scenes and animated a character.

That is not all!  They then had a talk of VFX and tried our After Effects, some for the first time.

A success morning all round.

If your school or organization would like to come to a similar taster session we are always willing to make time to show you what we do and help you produce a piece of work to show your family and friends.

Companies such as Uniform (, Pixel Flakes (, from London, Polygon Studios ( from Brighton and international company, Visual House (, attended recognising the value of such first-hand recruitment.

Lee Corbon, Lead Graphic Artist from the Bournemouth based Drilling Systems Ltd. ( ttps:// ) , officially opened the Expo with a 10am ribbon cutting.  Mr. Corbon is an ex-student and was pleased to be back to open the event.

“It’s a great course and a great opportunity for the students.  It’s an opportunity for us to find a new placement within our company,” said Mr. Corbon.  He and his colleague Will Baker were also examining and interviewing students with the hope to make an offer to one lucky individual.
